ANNOUNCEMENT: The next 12 months of performing are my last!
As you may, or may not, have heard I have decided that these next 12 months of performing burlesque will be my last. Due to work commitments and a desire to change my career I really need to free up some time and something has to give.
The past year has been truly amazing and I have found myself ticking off all of the places I wanted to perform when I first started out.
I have been lucky enough to tread the boards at some fantastic venues ( Burlesque! The Lowry Theatre, Manchester being a particular highlight – especially to that 17 year old drama student still in me!) alongside excellent performers and have been booked by some of the best in the business (Missy Malone & Friends, The Wet Spot, Kinky & Quirky) and I feel that leaving performance on a high and at the appropriate time is the best option for me.
This is not to say I will be disappearing from the burlesque circuit. I will still be running the North West Burlesque Society and in 2015 I’ll be bringing something extra to the Manchester burlesque scene.
Thank you for such a fantastic five years, for the brilliant shows, for your friendship and support.
Come and see me and cheer me on. I have a feeling this coming year is going to be a most excellent one!
